A different side of Highland golf.
Newtonmore brings a softer, welcoming rhythm to the trail. Set beside the River Spey and framed by mountain scenery, the course is accessible and enjoyable while still asking for intelligent placement through a series of compact par fours and memorable par threes.
Braid played at Newtonmore in the early years of the club and later returned to add his own touches to the course. That makes this stop a good example of how his architectural influence could refine an existing layout without removing its local character.
